Who owns the Copyright to your Stock Photos?

I own the copyright on every image I take. If you want to use them, you need to pay a licensing royalty.

Does Tante Chris Productions work on Royalty Share?

Normally, not. But, if you’re a licensed charitable organization with a cause I’m also passionate about (mental health, animal welfare, HIV/AIDS, or protecting women & children), reach out and we will consider each request separately based on availability and fit.

What are Tante Chris Productions rates for voice over?

Depends on whether the voice over work requires us to produce and edit the vocal track and how long the text is.

But, generally speaking, for just straight voice over work (no production) in my natural voice, we would look to negotiate pricing around $100/hour, which includes the initial time for review of text, fact checking/confirming name(s) or unusual word(s) pronunciation, and practice runs in addition to actual vocal recording for editing.

For voice over that requires full production/editing, generally, the following applies.

• Corporate films / Websites / YouTube videos: $320/PFH

• Interactive Voice Response system or Telephone Messages prompts: starting at $350

• eLearning narration (fully edited and delivered as 1 file): $0.30 for minimum of 1,000 words. For scripts over 2,000 words and delivery of more than 1 file, please inquire on pricing points.

What are Tante Chris Productions rates for audio book narration?

With full production of audio book and narration, we book at between $200-400 PFH depending on complexity and length - among other factors.

What about Royalty Share Plus?

Depends on the project, but, yes, Tante Chris Productions will consider Royalty Share Plus projects for audio book projects with an author who already has published works and a good readership following.

How long does a voice over or audio book narration take?

Well, that depends on the project.

What about in studio work?

Tante Chris Productions does accept in studio / on location work where production is professionally done by others. Negotiated terms for most projects will also include full travel expenses in addition to actual vocal tracks.

Timing for projects outside the U.S. or EU must allow for appropriate processing of any required visas.

Where does the name Tante Chris Productions come from?

Back when I first started living abroad, I missed being a close part of my family’s life with a new generation of children growing up. So, I began reading old adventure story books - chapter by chapter. Ultimately with time zone differences, I recorded them and uploaded them to YouTube for later viewing by the younger family members. In this small way, we could have moments together - yet apart (way before covid) - creating strong connections with the next generation like I did many decades earlier with my niece and nephew.

Tante meaning an older woman or aunt who is familiar or known to you.

Chris, as that’s what my closest family only calls me.
